when does kcype meet?

One of KCYPE’s best features is Flexibility. We take into account the needs of our members, and work to find a schedule that works for everyone.

A majority of our ensembles will take place on Sunday afternoons, Often we have middle school groups on Saturday mornings, and depending on availability we have had groups rehearse on Thursdays and Mondays.

However, once assigned each group maintains that day and time for the entire concert cycle.

Yearly Tuition for KCYPE is a simple $460 for the whole year (2 subscription concerts, and a summer program). Touring Ensembles, Master Class Appearances, Guest Artist Lectures, and Festival Participations often come up during the year and will be no extra charge.

A La Carte Concerts are $250

The best way for everyone to get a better rate, and have more fun is to bring a friend!

KCYPE offers a $50 discount for every friend you bring that becomes a member. and Heck…. Bring 5 friends and you can participate for free! Just make sure they add your name to the application form!

touring ensembles

One of the best experiences and bonding times is the annual KCYPE Tour. We take two days off of school the week after Spring Break and travel around to 5-6 middle schools in the KC Metro Area.

It’s quite the car crammed ride… and although exhausting, it’s a ton of fun

Groups are picked based on availability, size, and programming. not everyone can participate.
